Not to be one of those guys, but I did not have a great experience with the Blues Jr. I also believe the big difference between the tweeds and the black ones is the speaker. One edition was issued with a forest green colored cabinet, had a United States flag on the cloth speaker grille, and had United States Air Force markings detailed on the cabinet in yellow. The changes are usually the cosmetics and speaker s. Had my Blues Jr for 5 years and it's been great. The Pro Junior even with the upgraded speaker is a bit boxy sounding, but it loves pedals. But the old ones sound darker, while the new ones are brighter, with more emphasis on treble tones. I doubt I'd ever sell it , I like it that much. The cleans are good, but it's not as chimey. It was missing the proper amount of low end for my use as my main rig so I made some major upgrades in the amp departmet but I still wish I had one for grab and go purposes. Mine has had the BillM mods done the clean boost is a great feature--really extends the clean headroom , and I sent it to Ben Fargen for his hot-rodded super sustain mod. Without the above mods the C12N gets a little thin on the top-end. But if the Blues Jr works for you then awesome! I'd also say the Cannabis Rex is a great pairing.
